Emma’s jealousy of Billy Barry kids came to a boiling point 10 years ago when she decided to do her first stand-up gig at the Ha’penny Bridge Inn. It was love/obsession after that first 7-minute set to 20 odd people, and she hasn’t stopped since, only to give birth occasionally.
She’s always been gigging non-stop and has performed at some of the country’s biggest venues like The 3 Arena (and some of its smallest, roughest ones too tbf). After 2 sell out shows in Liberty Hall in 2022 in a couple of days with her show Mad Isn’t It, Emma set on chasing those big venues as a headliner (well Vicar Street anyway). “2023 saw Emma’s first nationwide tour with 3 nights in Vicar and 2 nights in Soho Theatre, London.”
Other reasons you might recognise Emma; The Late Late Show in 2022 when she told Ryan Tubridy about the silent ride. Celebrity Ireland’s Fittest Family when Glenda Gilson tried to drown her. Celebrity Gogglebox 2023 or maybe her Instagram and all the videos she films on her cracked Samsung phone.
2024 hold on tight because there’s a new tour, Amazon Prime TV show and a book coming! And maybe a joint 21st with her daughter Ella.
